Does a driver need an app to complete a verification?
No, drivers can verify in two ways. They can open the text message we send and finish in their phone’s browser, or they can use the Indemni app, which is on iOS today.
How does Indemni verify a driver?
You build each verification from steps you choose, like checking the CDL, taking a selfie, photographing the truck and trailer, and looking up the VIN. You also choose when the driver completes them: before pickup, at pickup, at stops along the way, or at delivery. When it’s time, Indemni texts the driver, and your team sees the results on the shipment.
Do we need to connect our TMS before we can start?
You don’t. Your team can create loads in Indemni and start verifying drivers the same day. When you’re ready, connect your TMS and verifications start from the load details you already have.
What happens if a driver fails a check?
Your team gets an alert that shows what failed, like a name that doesn’t match the license, and decides what happens next. They can approve the driver after a look or ask the carrier for a different one. If you use release controls, the pickup details stay hidden until the driver passes.
Can each shipper have its own requirements?
Yes, you can set up a workflow for each shipper with the steps their loads need. Your reps pick the shipper’s workflow, and the driver gets the right steps every time.
How do you verify team drivers?
Each driver verifies on their own phone, and you see both results side by side with where each driver was when they verified. That makes it easy to spot a team where one driver isn’t on the truck.

Can a driver fake a photo?
Drivers take every photo with the camera during the verification, in the app or in the browser, so they can’t upload old pictures or screenshots. The license check also looks for a license shown on a screen and flags it. Read about driver identity at pickup
Can we show the result to our shipper?
Yes, you can send your shipper a link to the result. It shows which checks passed and when, without the driver’s personal details.
